Genuine BRP Lower-Unit Drain and Fill Plug - Part Number: 0307551

  

A genuine BRP threaded drain and fill plug used in selected Evinrude, Johnson and OMC lower gearcases.

  

The plug is removed when draining or refilling the lower-unit gear lubricant. A new sealing washer should be installed whenever the plug is removed to help prevent lubricant loss and water entry.

🔌 Function

  

The plug closes the lower-unit lubricant drain or fill passage. Together with its sealing washer, it keeps gear lubricant inside the housing and prevents water entering through the threaded opening.

  

Common signs of failure:

  

• Gear lubricant leaking around the plug

• Milky or water-contaminated lubricant

• Damaged screwdriver slot or rounded plug head

• Stripped, corroded or damaged threads
