🔌 Function

  

The impeller rotates inside the lower-unit pump housing to draw cooling water into the engine. A correct impeller helps maintain water pressure, prevents overheating and supports reliable cooling at idle, low speed and operating RPM.

  

Common signs of failure:

• Engine overheating warning

• Pump not priming after service or storage
