This is the late-type sealing ring from the lubricating and oil system group for Volvo Penta marine and industrial engines. It provides the static seal at an oil-system joint, and the "Late type" designation distinguishes it from the earlier-specification ring it replaces, so the later version should be used where this reference applies.
