This is a genuine Volvo Penta flange from the lubricating and oil system group, supplied in the later-type design that replaced the earlier version fitted to these engines. It provides the sealing joint face where an oil system line or component is mounted to the engine, and is a small, light service item best renewed whenever the joint is disturbed. Because it is the late-type revision, it also serves as the current replacement for several superseded earlier flange numbers.
