Genuine Volvo Penta valve-train push rod used on selected TWD1620, TWD1630, TAD1630 and TAD1631 engines. Twelve push rods are used in the six-cylinder valvetrain to transfer camshaft and tappet movement to the rocker arms.

## 🔌 Function

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Check every pushrod for straightness by rolling it on a known flat surface, and inspect both ends for wear, pitting, scuffing or heat discoloration
-   A worn or bent pushrod is a symptom — check the rocker, the tappet or lifter and the valve itself before fitting new, or the new rod will go the same way
-   Never try to straighten or reuse a bent pushrod, and never shorten or modify one
-   Confirm each rod is properly seated in its tappet and in the rocker socket, with the ends oiled on assembly, before any rocker fastener is tightened
-   Set the valve clearances and tighten the rocker gear to the procedure and figures given in the workshop manual for your engine, then turn the engine over by hand to confirm everything is free
