## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Offer the bracket up and start every fastener by hand before tightening any of them, so the component is not pulled into a strained position
-   Check the mating faces are clean, flat and free of corrosion scale — a bracket that does not sit flat will work loose and let the component move
-   Renew self-locking nuts, lock washers, tab washers or thread-locking compound wherever the original assembly used them, and tighten to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine
-   Where the bracket carries a rubber mount or bush, renew that at the same time rather than reusing a perished one
-   On brackets in the inlet and exhaust area, never force alignment to make the holes line up — cure the misalignment at its source, or the bracket and the component it holds will both crack
