## 🔌 Function

Collects injector leakage fuel and returns it to the low-pressure side of the mechanical fuel system.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

-   Diesel smell and wet fuel tracking down from the injector heads
-   Fuel pooling in the rocker cover recess or on top of the engine
-   Air drawn into the low-pressure side, giving rough running or hard restarts
-   On strip-down the line is cracked at a bend or at a union, or the sealing washers are flattened and leaking
-   Chafed or corroded pipe wall where it has rubbed against adjacent components

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Renew all disturbed sealing washers, O-rings, grommets and hose clamps.
-   Confirm the pipe is naturally aligned before tightening; do not pull it into position with the fasteners.
