# 20799624 Hose Clamp | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

- Volvo Penta TAD734GE

- **Engine Family:** TAD
- **HP Range:** Approximately 300 HP
- **Year Range:** Approximately 2000s-2010s

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Hose clamp for the common-rail low-pressure fuel-line and return connection
- 0.011 kg
- One TAD-series application
- Parts for Fastening, Spacing, Locking and Support group

## 🔌 Function

Clamps a fuel hose onto its stub so the joint stays tight and no air is drawn into the low-pressure circuit.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel weeping from under the hose end
- Hard starting or hunting as air is drawn in at the joint
- Clamp found corroded, with the band pitted or the screw seized
- Band having cut into the hose wall from over-tightening
- Hose end swollen or hardened where the clamp has been sitting

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Match the clamp to the hose outside diameter so the band closes well within its working range rather than at the very end of its travel
- Position it over the spigot behind the bead or barb, with the screw where a driver or spanner can still reach it once everything is refitted
- Tighten to seal, not to crush — an over-tightened worm-drive clamp cuts into soft hose and starts the leak you were trying to stop
- Renew clamps when a hose is changed rather than reusing them, and keep band, housing and screw all marine-grade stainless so the clamp does not corrode against itself
- Where two clamps are fitted to one connection, stagger the screw heads and recheck both after the first running period
