Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta moulded cooling hose used in the catalyst-engine circulation-pump and exhaust-thermostat circuit. Its formed bends connect the thermostat distribution plumbing without kinking and maintain coolant flow to the port and starboard exhaust-thermostat housings.

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Fit hoses only to clean, sound spigots — take off old rubber, scale and corrosion, and renew the spigot or pipe if it is pitted, because no clamp will seal a rough sealing face
-   Push the hose fully home so the clamp sits behind the bead or barb rather than over the end of the spigot, and fit new clamps whenever a hose is renewed
-   Let the hose follow its natural bend with no kinks and no tension on either connection, clear of hot surfaces and moving parts, with chafe protection wherever it passes a bracket, edge or bulkhead
-   Use the correct grade of hose for the duty, and clamp to the standard the installation demands — twin clamps are normal practice on seawater and fuel connections below the waterline
-   Refill, vent and run the engine, then check every joint hot and cold and recheck the clamps after the first running period as the hose beds down
