-   Route the hose with a generous sweep, clear of hot parts and sharp edges, and clip it so it cannot chafe or be pulled at either end through the full range of movement
-   Top up and bleed the system afterwards, cycle it through full travel several times, then recheck the fluid level and inspect the connections for weeps under pressure
-   Never search for a pressurised leak by hand — fluid escaping under pressure can penetrate skin
