-   Mount it in the original position and orientation using the original brackets or clips, so it stays clear of heat, moving parts and standing water
-   Many engine and control modules have to be configured or programmed to your particular engine before they will work correctly, so allow for a Volvo Penta dealer with the correct diagnostic equipment where that applies
