# 21664894 Flange | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

A precision flange fitted in the turbocharger and exhaust-pipe system of Volvo Penta TAD560VE engines.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta TAD560VE
- Volvo Penta TAD561VE

- **Engine Family:** TAD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- TAD560VE turbocharger application
- High-temperature exhaust flange
- Used with adapter 21676946 and V-clamps
- Precision machined sealing face

## 🔌 Function

The flange joins the turbocharger exhaust outlet to the downstream pipe or adapter while maintaining alignment and gas sealing.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Warped or cracked flange
- Loose V-clamp
- Exhaust noise and heat staining

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Clean both mating faces back to clean metal and check them for flatness and for burrs or old gasket left in the sealing area; a face pulled up around a stud hole will not seal however hard it is tightened
- Always fit a new gasket, seal or O-ring where the joint uses one, and only use a jointing compound if the workshop manual for your engine calls for one at that joint
- Draw the fasteners up evenly in stages, working across the flange rather than round it, and finish to the tightening sequence and figures given for your engine
- Inspect studs, nuts and threads while the joint is apart and renew anything corroded, stretched or seized — exhaust-side fasteners rarely come out twice
- Re-check the joint for leaks once the engine has been up to working temperature and cooled again
