## ⚙️ Key Features

- Marked KC
- Fuel System group banjo nipple, 0.018 kg
- Supersedes part number 992947
- Listed for 12 D series applications

## 🔌 Function

Forms the fuel connection at a banjo joint, letting the pipe or hose swivel to its final angle while sealing against the component face through the washers each side of the banjo.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel weeping or a wet, dust-caked ring around the union
- Smell of fuel in the engine space, or air drawn into the system on the suction side
- Sealing faces of the nipple found scored, ridged or corroded
- Nipple thread stretched or its drilling partly blocked by debris on strip-down

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Always fit new sealing washers to a banjo joint and tighten to the manual's figure: overtightening to cure a weep distorts the faces and makes it worse
- It supersedes 992947, so an engine listed with the earlier number takes this nipple
- Check the variant marking KC against the parts list for your parts, as banjo nipples in this family are supplied in more than one specification
