## ⚙️ Key Features

- Closed-breather hose retention
- Factory clamp diameter and tension
- Oil- and heat-resistant finish
- Prevents hose movement and vapour leakage
- Inspect during breather service

## 🔌 Function

Secures the crankcase-breather hose to its pipe or oil-separator connection.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Loose or broken clamp
- Oil mist at hose joint
- Hose movement or chafing
- Overtightening damage

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Match the clamp to the hose outside diameter so the band closes well within its working range rather than at the very end of its travel
- Position it over the spigot behind the bead or barb, with the screw where a driver or spanner can still reach it once everything is refitted
- Tighten to seal, not to crush — an over-tightened worm-drive clamp cuts into soft hose and starts the leak you were trying to stop
- Renew clamps when a hose is changed rather than reusing them, and keep band, housing and screw all marine-grade stainless so the clamp does not corrode against itself
- Where two clamps are fitted to one connection, stagger the screw heads and recheck both after the first running period
