## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Use the complete kit on the joint rather than mixing new fasteners with used ones — the screws are supplied together because the joint has to be clamped evenly
-   Treat them as single-use items: many engine and drive screws are angle-tightened or stretch fasteners and will not give the same clamp load a second time
-   Check that the threads and the faces the screws pull against are clean and undamaged, clear any old thread-locking compound out of female threads, and fit any washers supplied with the kit
-   Tighten to the figures and in the sequence given in the workshop manual for your engine, including any angle-tightening stage, and only use a lubricant or locking compound where the manual calls for it
-   Recheck for tightness after the first running period where the manual requires it, rather than assuming a new fastener will hold
