# 22000754 Protecting Screen | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Large protecting screen for the TAD13 cooling-fan and belt-drive enclosure. It provides personnel protection while preserving the airflow required by the radiator and charge-air cooler.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta TAD1371-75VE
- Volvo Penta TAD1351-53VE

- **Engine Family:** TAD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Factory mesh and formed guard profile
- Protects the fan and belt-drive area
- Maintains cooling airflow
- Uses the original brackets, bushings and screws
- Designed for safe service access

## 🔌 Function

Prevents accidental contact and entry of larger debris into the cooling fan and belt-drive area without materially restricting airflow.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Cracked mesh or frame
- Loose or missing mounting hardware
- Contact with rotating fan or belt
- Blocked airflow from debris

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- A protecting screen is there to keep hands, hoses and wiring away from hot or moving parts — refit it before the engine is run, not at the end of the job
- Mount it on its own bushes, spacers and shouldered fasteners in the original order; those parts set the standoff gap and stop the screen drumming against what it protects
- Check clearance all round with the engine stopped, then look for rub marks after the first run — a screen touching a belt, pulley or pipe does more harm than no screen at all
- Renew a screen that is cracked, distorted or has lost a mounting point rather than straightening it, and replace missing bushes so the fasteners are not clamped down onto bare metal
