## 🔌 Function

Passes engine oil through a core washed by cooling water, taking heat out of the oil without the two fluids meeting.

-   Oil or coolant weeping from the cooler end caps

-   Corrosion or scale found on the core when the cooler is stripped

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Renew the seals and gaskets whenever the cooler is disturbed
-   If oil and coolant have already mixed, flush both circuits and change the oil and filter before running up
-   Check the cooling circuit for the reason the core failed - scale and corrosion usually take the next cooler as well
