# 22037590 Tool | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Heavy-duty rotating workshop stand or fixture used with the engine holding adapter to safely position a complete Volvo Penta GM-based V6 or V8 engine during overhaul.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Professional engine-overhaul support fixture
- Allows the engine to be locked at service angles
- Designed for major block, crankshaft, sump and cylinder-head work
- Supports controlled rotation of the engine assembly
- Requires approved mounting adapter and locking hardware
- Engine type: Volvo Penta GM-based marine petrol V6 and V8

## 🔌 Function

Supports and rotates the engine during overhaul while maintaining a stable, lockable working position.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Cracks, bent frame members or damaged welds
- Worn pivot or locking mechanism
- Missing retaining pins
- Loose casters or unstable base
- Damaged engine-adapter mounting points

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Special tools are matched to particular engine and drive families — check the tool against the procedure in the workshop manual for your engine before ordering, as an almost-right tool will damage what it touches
- Use the tool only for the operation it was designed for, and do not add bars, extensions or leverage to make it reach further or pull harder than intended
- Inspect before every use and retire anything cracked, bent, spread at the jaws or worn in the threads rather than persevering with it
- Clean, dry and lightly oil the tool after use and store it where the working faces cannot be knocked out of true
