# 22107974 Hose | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Moulded cooling-system hose that has been superseded through Volvo Penta service replacements 22492694 and 22663930. It carries coolant or raw water at the assigned engine connection.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Factory-moulded cooling hose
- OEM replacement chain to 22663930
- Correct end diameters and bend profile
- Select current replacement by serial number
- Engine type: Volvo Penta turbocharged diesel

## 🔌 Function

Carries coolant or raw cooling water between the assigned engine and cooling-package components.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Cracking or swelling
- Overheating caused by restricted flow

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Fit hoses only to clean, sound spigots — take off old rubber, scale and corrosion, and renew the spigot or pipe if it is pitted, because no clamp will seal a rough sealing face
- Push the hose fully home so the clamp sits behind the bead or barb rather than over the end of the spigot, and fit new clamps whenever a hose is renewed
- Let the hose follow its natural bend with no kinks and no tension on either connection, clear of hot surfaces and moving parts, with chafe protection wherever it passes a bracket, edge or bulkhead
- Use the correct grade of hose for the duty, and clamp to the standard the installation demands — twin clamps are normal practice on seawater and fuel connections below the waterline
- Refill, vent and run the engine, then check every joint hot and cold and recheck the clamps after the first running period as the hose beds down
