# 22274886 Hose Clamp | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta hose clamp weighing 0.041 kg, listed for the D8A2-A MP and D8A4-A MP, where it secures hose 22561885 at the air filter and intake silencer connection. Volvo Penta's exhaust system table also names it as the recommended stainless steel hose clip for the 76 mm bore wet exhaust hose 888212, listed in this same run, so the same band covers both duties.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta D8A2-A MP
- Volvo Penta D8A4-A MP

- **Engine Family:** D

## ⚙️ Key Features

- The recommended stainless steel hose clip for wet exhaust hose 888212, 76 mm bore and 88 mm outside diameter
- Also used at the D8A2-A MP air filter and intake silencer connection with hose 22561885
- 0.041 kg
- Corrosion-resistant marine clamp
- Fits: Rubber exhaust hose 888212 (76 mm internal diameter)
- Also supersedes Volvo part number 897729

## 🔌 Function

Draws a corrosion-resistant band tight around a hose end so the hose seals against the spigot beneath it.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Dust bypass or intake leak at the air filter joint
- Soot or water leakage at an exhaust hose joint
- Clamp corrosion or loss of tension
- Band distortion
- Hose cut beneath the clamp

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- It appears in two places - the D8 intake connection and the 76 mm wet exhaust hose - so confirm which joint you are working on before ordering quantity
- Renew the clip with the hose rather than re-tightening a band that has already bitten in
