# 22287704 Hose | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Moulded hose used in a Volvo Penta engine fluid or air circuit. Public catalogues confirm the service hose but do not expose a dependable model list; the hose must be matched by its bends, end diameters and assembly position.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Factory moulded shape
- Application-specific end diameters
- Designed for engine heat and vibration
- Direct replacement for the original hose position
- Fitment controlled by part number and serial
- Engine type: Volvo Penta marine or industrial diesel engine

## 🔌 Function

Carries the assigned coolant, air, oil or ventilation medium while absorbing vibration and thermal movement.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Fluid or air leakage
- Cracking, swelling or hardening
- Reduced flow

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Fit hoses only to clean, sound spigots — take off old rubber, scale and corrosion, and renew the spigot or pipe if it is pitted, because no clamp will seal a rough sealing face
- Push the hose fully home so the clamp sits behind the bead or barb rather than over the end of the spigot, and fit new clamps whenever a hose is renewed
- Let the hose follow its natural bend with no kinks and no tension on either connection, clear of hot surfaces and moving parts, with chafe protection wherever it passes a bracket, edge or bulkhead
- Use the correct grade of hose for the duty, and clamp to the standard the installation demands — twin clamps are normal practice on seawater and fuel connections below the waterline
- Refill, vent and run the engine, then check every joint hot and cold and recheck the clamps after the first running period as the hose beds down
