A genuine flexible oil-fill hose used between the remote oil-filling point and the engine filler pipe on selected Volvo Penta petrol engines. It is shaped to the correct length and routing for the factory oil-filling and dipstick arrangement and is compatible with the original filler pipe and cap.

## 🔌 Function

Carries engine oil from the remote fill opening to the filler pipe so oil can be added cleanly without removing engine covers or disturbing the dipstick assembly.

-   Oil seepage around the hose ends or clamp positions
-   Cracking, hardening, swelling or softening of the hose
-   Oil odour or residue in the engine compartment after topping up
-   Air or dirt entering through a split hose during oil filling
-   Restricted oil filling caused by a collapsed, kinked or internally damaged hose

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Fit hoses only to clean, sound spigots — take off old rubber, scale and corrosion, and renew the spigot or pipe if it is pitted, because no clamp will seal a rough sealing face
-   Push the hose fully home so the clamp sits behind the bead or barb rather than over the end of the spigot, and fit new clamps whenever a hose is renewed
-   Let the hose follow its natural bend with no kinks and no tension on either connection, clear of hot surfaces and moving parts, with chafe protection wherever it passes a bracket, edge or bulkhead
-   Use the correct grade of hose for the duty, and clamp to the standard the installation demands — twin clamps are normal practice on seawater and fuel connections below the waterline
-   Refill, vent and run the engine, then check every joint hot and cold and recheck the clamps after the first running period as the hose beds down
