# 22378424 Gasket Kit | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

A genuine Volvo Penta small fuel-system sealing kit used across selected older marine and industrial diesel fuel-system assemblies. The kit supersedes gasket kit 3825387 and renews the specified fuel-system joint without replacing the complete pump, valve or pipe assembly.

## 🚤 Compatibility

- **Year Range:** Approximately late 1980s-2000s

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Genuine Volvo Penta OEM fuel-system gasket kit
- Correct Volvo Penta part number 22378424
- Supersedes earlier gasket kit 3825387
- Used across selected TAMD, TMD, DH10 and industrial engines
- Small configuration-specific sealing package

## 📋 Kit Contents

- Complete fuel-system gasket / sealing package - part number 22378424 - quantity 1
- Individual contained sealing pieces are not assigned separate public Volvo service numbers and are supplied only as kit 22378424

## 🔌 Function

The kit seals the designated fuel-system connection against fuel leakage and air ingress.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel fuel seepage at the serviced connection
- Air enters the fuel system and causes hard starting
- Seal flattened, split or hardened
- Earlier gasket kit 3825387 reused
- Kit fitted to the wrong pump or valve configuration

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the kit contents against the joints you are actually opening before you start, and lay the parts out so nothing is left in the bag
- Renew every gasket in the kit as a set; a used gasket has already taken its crush and will not seal a second time
- Clean the mating faces properly without gouging them — a plastic or hardwood scraper and a solvent are safer than a steel blade, especially on aluminium
- Fit gaskets dry unless the workshop manual for your engine specifies a sealant, and then use only the sealant it names
- Tighten the joint evenly in the sequence and to the figures given in the manual for your engine, and re-check after the first heat cycle where the manual calls for it
