## 🔌 Function

The kit seals the turbocharger's exhaust, boost-air, lubrication and coolant connections after the unit has been removed.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

-   Exhaust soot around turbo flanges
-   Oil leakage at turbo supply or drain joints
-   Coolant leakage at turbo connections
-   Loss of boost pressure
-   Old seals are burned, crushed or damaged during removal

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Check the kit contents against the joints you are actually opening before you start, and lay the parts out so nothing is left in the bag
-   Renew every gasket in the kit as a set; a used gasket has already taken its crush and will not seal a second time
-   Clean the mating faces properly without gouging them — a plastic or hardwood scraper and a solvent are safer than a steel blade, especially on aluminium
-   Fit gaskets dry unless the workshop manual for your engine specifies a sealant, and then use only the sealant it names
-   Tighten the joint evenly in the sequence and to the figures given in the manual for your engine, and re-check after the first heat cycle where the manual calls for it
