# 23181567 Wiring Harness | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta engine loom for TAD series engines, weighing 5.897 kg and listed for nine TAD applications. It is a complete multi-branch harness, so a fault should be proved to a single branch before the whole loom is ordered.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- 5.897 kg
- Listed for nine TAD series applications
- Complete multi-branch engine harness rather than a single lead

## 🔌 Function

Carries power and signals between the control system, sensors and actuators across the engine, with the branches and connectors already made up.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Intermittent faults that come and go with vibration or temperature
- Fault codes for several unrelated circuits at once
- Green or white corrosion inside connectors, or water sitting in a plug
- Insulation chafed through where the loom passes a bracket or a hot pipe
- Connector body melted or discoloured at a high-resistance joint

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the earths and the individual connectors before condemning a harness of this size - a single corroded pin gives the same symptoms as a dead loom
- Photograph the routing and the clip positions before removal, since a harness this size will not go back correctly from memory
- Keep the new loom clear of hot surfaces and sharp edges and reuse every clip, since chafe is what kills these
