- Fuel hose from the Fuel System group
- 0.578 kg
- Supersedes 40005726
- Listed for 11 D series engine applications

## 🔌 Function

Carries fuel between two points that move relative to each other, containing it at the working pressure of that part of the system.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel smell in the engine space, or a wet film on the hose
- Engine hunting, hard starting or stopping from air drawn in on the suction side
- Hose found hard, crazed or swollen and soft
- Weeping at the crimped ends or under the clips
- Chafe damage where the hose has rested against a bracket

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Renew fuel hose on condition rather than waiting for a leak - fuel onto a hot engine is a fire risk
- Bleed the system and check every joint with the engine running before leaving the boat
- Route and clip the new hose clear of hot and moving parts as the original ran
