## ⚙️ Key Features

- Expansion tank from the Cooling System group
- 8.165 kg
- Listed for ten TAD series engine applications

## 🔌 Function

Takes up the coolant that expands as the engine warms and returns it as it cools, keeping the circuit full and pressurised and giving the filling point.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Repeated coolant top-ups with no obvious external leak
- Level swinging well outside the marks between hot and cold
- White or coloured crusting around a seam or the cap seat
- Tank found cracked, crazed or heat-distorted
- Cap seal perished so the system will not hold pressure

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Test the pressure cap and its seat before condemning the tank - a cap that will not hold pressure causes both coolant loss and overheating
- Pressure test the circuit after fitting and check the level again once the engine has been through a full heat cycle
