-   Renew every seal, O-ring and gasket supplied and lubricate rubber parts lightly on assembly so they seat instead of rolling or tearing
-   Account for all the old material you remove, so that no fragment of a worn part is left inside the assembly or carried downstream
-   Check free movement and correct assembly by hand before closing up, and check for leaks and normal operation once running
