# 24075309 Wiring Harness | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta wiring harness from the Cables and Fuses group, weighing 3.225 kg. A second, much smaller harness, 24120602, appears in this run at 0.054 kg with no system group, so the two are quite different assemblies and must be ordered by part number. No engine applications are recorded against either, so match the number to your engine's own parts list before ordering.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Cables and Fuses component
- 3.225 kg
- 24120602 is the other harness in this run, at 0.054 kg, and is a different assembly
- No recorded engine applications, so order by part number

## 🔌 Function

Carries the supply, earth and signal connections between the engine's electrical components as one made-up loom, with the connectors and branch lengths already set.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Intermittent faults that come and go with engine vibration, temperature or movement of the loom
- Green or white powdery corrosion in the connector bodies or on the pins
- Insulation chafed, cracked or melted where the loom passes a bracket or a hot component
- Connector locks broken so plugs no longer latch home
- Warning lights or gauge readings that drop out and return for no obvious reason

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the earth points and the individual connectors before condemning a whole harness, since corrosion at a single pin produces the same symptoms as a failed loom
- Photograph the routing, the clip positions and the connector locations before removing the old harness, as a loom refitted along a different run will chafe through in service
- Confirm the number against your own parts list before ordering, because harnesses are built to one installation and cannot be adapted
