# 24122246 Wiring Harness | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta wiring harness weighing 2.029 kg. It supersedes part number 23752316 and covers its 28 D series engine applications. Harness 24122248 replaces a neighbouring number and is within 28 grams, so order by part number.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Engine wiring harness
- 2.029 kg
- Supersedes 23752316
- Covers the 28 D series engine applications of the number it replaces
- Within 28 grams of harness 24122248, so weight is no guide

## 🔌 Function

Carries power, earth and sensor signalling between the control unit, senders and actuators as one moulded loom, with the connectors already terminated.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Warning lamps or fault codes that come and go and move around the engine
- Engine cutting out or refusing to start when the loom is disturbed
- Chafed or melted insulation where the loom passes a hot or sharp point
- Green or white corrosion inside a connector, or a pin pushed back in its housing
- Sheathing found stiff and cracked where heat has aged it

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the connectors and earth points before condemning the loom - most harness faults are a single corroded pin
- Harness 24122248 is the neighbouring release and almost the same weight, so order by part number
- Photograph the routing and clip positions before removal
