# 24281043 Bracket | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta cooling system bracket covering a single TWD series engine application. No mass figure is held for this number, so identify it by part number and engine fitment.

## 🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

- Volvo Penta TWD1744GE

- **Engine Family:** TWD

## ⚙️ Key Features

- One TWD series engine application
- Cooling system mounting
- Identify by part number and fitment

## 🔌 Function

Holds a cooling system component in its designed position relative to the engine.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Cracking at the mounting points
- Corrosion where dissimilar metals meet
- Fixing holes worn oversize
- The supported component sitting out of alignment

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Offer the bracket up and start every fastener by hand before tightening any of them, so the component is not pulled into a strained position
- Check the mating faces are clean, flat and free of corrosion scale — a bracket that does not sit flat will work loose and let the component move
- Renew self-locking nuts, lock washers, tab washers or thread-locking compound wherever the original assembly used them, and tighten to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine
- Where the bracket carries a rubber mount or bush, renew that at the same time rather than reusing a perished one
- On brackets in the inlet and exhaust area, never force alignment to make the holes line up — cure the misalignment at its source, or the bracket and the component it holds will both crack
