## 🔌 Function

Provides an unmachined hub that can be bored to suit a non-standard propeller shaft.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Blades slack or not folding cleanly
- Hub bore or keyway worn after machining
- Corrosion between hub and shaft
- Vibration under way from an inaccurately machined taper
- Hub not seating fully on the taper

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- This is the answer when no standard hub matches the shaft, but it must be machined by a competent shop to the measured diameter and taper
- The taper is what carries the load, not the key, so a poorly machined taper will work loose in service
- It is the heaviest of the six hub kits listed here for the three-blade folding propeller because it is supplied as a blank
- For a complete propeller, order one blade kit and one hub kit.
- Propeller size has to be calculated to match engine and gear ratio - contact your Volvo Penta dealer.
