## ⚙️ Key Features

- For engines up to serial number 2016010024
- 51.528 kg
- 13 applications on TAD series engines

## 🔌 Function

Drives the valve gear and injection timing, its lobe profile and phasing setting when each valve and injector operates.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Ticking, tapping or a heavy knock from the valve gear
- Valve clearances that will not hold their setting
- Loss of power, poor starting or uneven running as timing drifts
- Lobes found worn flat, pitted or spalled on strip-down
- Metal debris or bright flakes in the oil filter

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check your engine's serial number before ordering — this camshaft is listed up to serial number 2016010024, and a later engine takes a different shaft
- Renew the followers, pushrods and camshaft bearings with the shaft; refitting worn followers will ruin a new camshaft
- Very heavy at over 51 kg and long and awkward to handle: plan lifting and check carriage before ordering
