## ⚙️ Key Features

- 9.525 kg
- Supersedes 3831312, catalogued earlier as an exhaust pipe
- 16 applications on D series engines

## 🔌 Function

Turns the exhaust flow through the bend as it leaves the engine, carrying the gas on into the exhaust system.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Sooty black tracks or a puffing sound at the joints
- Exhaust smell or fumes in the engine space
- Rust scaling, blistering or holes in the elbow wall
- Studs seized or snapped at the flange
- Flange face warped so a new gasket blows out quickly

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- It replaces a number listed earlier just as an exhaust pipe, so the part you receive may look different from the one you removed while doing the same job
- Expect to renew the flange gasket and to fight seized studs, and let the engine cool fully first
- At 9.525 kg the elbow needs supporting as the last fasteners come out
