## ⚙️ Key Features

- Size P2
- 24.948 kg
- 12 applications across D series and IPS installations

## 🔌 Function

Converts shaft torque into thrust, with the pitch and diameter of the P2 size setting how much load the engine sees at full throttle.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Vibration through the hull that rises with revs
- Engine unable to reach rated revs, or over-revving with no thrust
- Chipped, curled or bent blade edges
- Pitted, sandblasted look on the blade backs from cavitation
- Fishing line or weed scored into the hub area

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- IPS propellers are matched sizes — P1 3843982, P3 3843960, P5 3843967, P6 3843969, P7 3843971 and 3843972, and P8 3843974 are the others listed here, and fitting the wrong size will put the engine off its rated revs
- At nearly 25 kg this needs proper support when handling, and blade edges are sharp enough to cut
- Check the propeller shaft, seals and hub for damage before refitting, and record the size you removed
