# 3854673 Hose | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta cooling hose for DPX applications, from the Cooling System group, 0.032 kg and listed for 27 applications. Hoses 3855684 and 3856007 are also listed for 27 DPX applications, at 0.544 kg and 0.610 kg, so the fitment count on its own will not tell you which leg you are looking at.

## 🚤 Compatibility

- **Engine Family:** DPX

Full model list at the end of this description.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- For the DPX family
- 27 listed applications
- 0.032 kg
- Same 27-application DPX fitment count as hoses 3855684 and 3856007

## 🔌 Function

Carries coolant or raw water over a short leg of the circuit, flexing to take up movement between the two spigots.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- A drip, weep or salt crust at either end fitting
- Rubber hard and crazed, or soft and spongy when squeezed
- Hose ends split or bell-mouthed where they are stretched onto the spigots
- Coolant level falling with no obvious puddle
- A chafe mark where the hose rubs a bracket or edge

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Three hoses here are listed for 27 DPX applications - this one, 3855684 and 3856007 - so identify which leg you are replacing before ordering
- Fit new clamps and clean the scale off the spigots; a short hose has little length in which to take up any misalignment
