Genuine Volvo Penta three-blade aluminium single propeller for SX Aquamatic sterndrives. With its wide and efficient blade design this propeller offers excellent acceleration and top speed. The state-of-the-art squeeze casting process together with a special high strength aluminium alloy makes it stronger and more durable than traditional die-cast propellers, and four layers of paint ensure excellent anti-corrosion performance. This propeller is the 15.5 x 14 size, left hand rotation.

Converts the drive's shaft power into thrust, its diameter and pitch setting how that power is matched to the boat.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

-   Vibration through the boat that gets worse with speed
-   Engine reaching higher revs than it should without gaining speed, showing the blades are slipping
-   Blade tips bent, chipped or curled after touching bottom
-   Blade faces eroded or pockmarked from cavitation
-   Hub spun, so the propeller turns on the shaft under load

## 🛠️ Service Notes

-   Rotation must match the drive - this is a left hand wheel, so confirm the hand as well as the diameter and pitch
-   Check the shaft splines, thrust washer and nut, and renew the hardware if worn
-   A repitched or repaired propeller rarely balances as well as a new one, so have any repair checked for balance before fitting
-   Installation hardware for the 3 and 4-blade propellers for the SX drive: split pin 3852056, propeller nut 3850984, spacer 3852350 and thrust washer 3852020.
-   Precise balancing gives minimal vibrations, quiet and comfortable operation, and is essential for efficiency and for minimizing wear on the drivetrain.
