# 3883704 Nut | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta nut for the D1-13, from the Starting System group, listed for 12 applications across D series engines. It replaces two earlier numbers: 21246670, which was catalogued as a hexagon nut, and 3809676, which was catalogued as a washer — so this one number now covers what were previously separate nut and washer listings.

## 🔌 Function

Clamps a starting system connection or fixing, holding it tight against vibration.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Starter turning slowly or not at all from a loose connection
- Terminal or nut heat-discoloured or arced
- Nut found loose after vibration
- Threads galled, stretched or stripped
- Corrosion locking or wasting the nut

## 🛠️ Service Notes
