## ⚙️ Key Features

- Engine group brace

## 🔌 Function

Braces a component against the engine so vibration and load are carried into the block rather than into the component's own mountings.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Cracks from the bolt holes or across a bend in the stay
- The braced component vibrating or found loose
- Fasteners repeatedly working slack
- Bright fretted witness marks at the mating faces
- Knocking under load from an unsupported component

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Fit the stay loosely and tighten it only once the component it braces is correctly positioned, so nothing is pulled into strain
- Check the mating faces for fretting and clean them before assembly
