- 0.318 kg
- Supersedes 3808029
- 4 D series applications

## 🔌 Function

Keeps the heat of the exhaust or inlet inside the pipework, protecting nearby components and hands from the hot surface.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Scorched or discoloured paint and wiring near the exhaust
- Insulation charred, hardened or crumbling
- Engine compartment noticeably hotter than it used to be
- Insulation loose, sagging or missing its retainers
- Oil or fuel soaked into the material

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- The serial breakpoint is what decides between this and insulation 3887844, which carries no serial restriction - read the engine serial before ordering
- Both numbers replace the same earlier insulating cover 3808029, so an old-number search returns two current parts
- Never refit oil-soaked insulation - it is a fire risk against a hot exhaust
