## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta relay from the Industrial and Marine Equipment group, weighing 1.751 kg. It supersedes part number 41100244. At 1.751 kg it is far heavier than a small signal relay, so this is a substantial switching unit - no voltage or current rating is published, so confirm the rating before ordering.

## ⚙️ Key Features

- Industrial and Marine Equipment group
- 1.751 kg, so a substantial switching unit
- Supersedes 41100244
- No voltage or current rating published

## 🔌 Function

Uses a small control current to switch a much larger current on and off, keeping the heavy current out of the control circuit.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Load not switching, or switching only sometimes
- No click when the relay is energised, or a buzzing chatter
- Contacts pitted, welded together or burnt
- Case discoloured, or a burnt smell around the terminals
- Voltage dropping heavily across the relay under load

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Confirm the coil and contact ratings against your circuit before fitting, since none is published against this number
- Isolate the supply before working on it, and check the terminals and cable ends for heat damage while it is disconnected
- Clean and tighten the heavy cable terminations - a loose connection here generates the heat that kills these units
