🔌 Function

  

The gasket seals the water-pump cartridge to the lower-unit housing. This prevents water from bypassing the pump chamber and allows the impeller to maintain adequate cooling-water flow.

• Engine overheats after pump installation

• Gasket is torn, compressed or incorrectly aligned

• Water-pressure loss occurs around the cartridge base
