A genuine Yamaha dust seal for selected high-horsepower power-trim and tilt cylinder assemblies.

  

The seal fits around the trim ram at the cylinder cap, wiping water, salt and debris from the polished rod before it can reach the internal hydraulic oil seals.

🔌 Function

  

The dust seal cleans the trim ram as it retracts, protecting the internal hydraulic seals from abrasive salt, sand and contamination.

  

Common signs of failure:

  

• Hydraulic oil leaking around the trim ram

• Salt or dirt visible beneath the cylinder cap

• Trim ram develops rust or scoring

• Dust seal is split, loose or hardened

• Trim system slowly loses pressure after contamination damages the inner seal
