## 🔌 Function

Forms the internal core of a cooling system housing, carrying coolant through the assembly and transferring heat across it.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coolant temperature climbing under sustained load
- Internal furring, scale or silt restricting flow
- Weeping or seepage where the insert seals into its housing
- Corrosion pinholing, giving coolant loss or cross-contamination
- Oil or coolant traces where the two circuits meet

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- At 6.282 kg this is a substantial assembly, so plan for the weight when handling it on board
- Pressure test the insert before condemning the rest of the cooling circuit
- Renew all seals and O-rings on reassembly and flush the circuit
