# 828383 Tab Washer | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

## 🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta lock washer for propeller shaft nuts, listed for 25 mm and 30 mm shafts manufactured before V9338 - week 38 of 1993 - and weighing 0.011 kg. It is the only washer of the three listed that covers two shaft sizes, and it is the one to use on the older shafts: after that date the 25 mm washer is 873475 and the 30 mm is 873488. It supersedes part numbers 19508, 811935, 833916 and 947724, one of which was catalogued earlier simply as a washer and another as a spare part. Nut 828380 also replaces 811935 and 833916, so an old parts list quoting those numbers may need both items.

- Corrosion between washer and nut face

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Check the shaft's manufacturing date - this washer is for shafts made before week 38 of 1993, and 873475 and 873488 cover 25 mm and 30 mm shafts made after it
- Single use: fit a new washer whenever the shaft nut is disturbed
- Check whether nut 828380 is also needed, since it replaces two of the same old numbers
