- Later production build
- Fuel system injector assembly
- Quantity varies by assembly, most commonly two

## 🔌 Function

Meters and atomises the diesel charge into the combustion chamber at the pressure and spray pattern the engine was designed around.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Black smoke and a knocking, uneven idle
- Hard starting and poor pickup under load
- Fuel smell or wet diesel around the injector seat
- Nozzle dribbling instead of cutting off cleanly on test
- Carbon build-up on the tip and a burnt appearance to the seat washer

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Have injectors tested for opening pressure and spray pattern before condemning them, since a blocked filter or lift pump gives similar symptoms
- Nozzle 829909 covers the same 4 applications and is the replaceable tip within this assembly, so decide whether you need the nozzle alone or the complete injector
- Always fit a new seat washer and torque the injector down evenly
