## ⚙️ Key Features

- 0.204 kg
- 6 applications on AQ and BB series engines
- Supersedes 831707 and 831211
- Fuel System group

## 🔌 Function

Carries fuel along a fixed route between two components, holding the union faces square so the joints stay tight under vibration.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Diesel smell or a wet film around a union
- Air drawn into the system, giving hard starting and a hunting idle
- Pipe chafed, kinked or cracked at a bend
- Union face bruised from overtightening so it will not seal
- Pipe clips missing so the line has been left to vibrate

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Two earlier numbers, 831707 and 831211, both lead to this pipe, so an old number alone will not tell you which arrangement the engine had
- Renew the sealing washers at both unions and refit every clip, since an unsupported fuel pipe fractures from vibration
- Bleed the system and check for weeps with the engine running, because a fuel leak in an engine space is a fire risk
