## ⚙️ Key Features

- 30.421 kg
- Supersedes 820721, previously listed as a heat exchanger housing
- 12 applications across the MD, TMD, TD, D and TAMD series

## 🔌 Function

Carries and encloses the heat exchanger core, holding the coolant and seawater passages apart while providing the mounting and sealing faces for the assembly.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coolant or seawater weeping from the end joints
- Heavy internal scaling or corrosion visible at the ends
- Overheating that persists after the thermostat and pumps have been cleared
- Coolant contaminated with salt, showing an internal breach
- Sealing lands pitted so a new gasket will not hold

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- At 30.4 kg this is a two-person lift and a freight item rather than a parcel, so plan the handling before it arrives
- Renew all the end gaskets, seals and the sacrificial anodes when the housing is rebuilt
- Pressure test the assembly after reassembly rather than relying on a dry check
