## ⚙️ Key Features

- 0.60 mm thick
- 0.005 kg
- Consolidates six earlier numbers
- Three of the superseded numbers were listed as cylinder blocks
- 24 applications across the D and MD series
- TH=0.6mm (Volvo assembly listing)
- Also supersedes Volvo part numbers 840562, 840977, 840978, 858498 and 876036

## 🔌 Function

Sets the standing height of the component it sits under, its 0.60 mm thickness shimming the assembly to the correct dimension.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Timing or projection out of specification after assembly
- Spacer dished, fretted or picked up on its faces
- Leakage past the joint the spacer sits in
- Shim thickness measuring away from nominal when checked

## 🛠️ Service Notes

- Order on the 0.60 mm thickness, as spacers in this family are a graded set and published weight does not reliably track thickness
- Measure the existing shim and the resulting projection rather than assuming like-for-like, since the setting is what the shim exists to control
- Three of the numbers this part replaces were catalogued as cylinder blocks, so cross-check carefully if you are working from an old parts list
