## 🔌 Function

Seals a cooling system joint so the circuit holds pressure and coolant stays in the system.

## ⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

- Coolant seeping or spitting from the joint under pressure
- Dried salt-like or coloured staining around the flange
- Slow, unexplained loss from the header tank
- Gasket found swollen, softened or pulled thin on removal
- Corrosion scabbing on the face where the gasket sat

## 🛠️ Service Notes
